If I didn’t find wrinkling and strain localization in from my simulation, can I say that my design is good?
For most of the problem, the answer is yes. When we form a part by
using die and punch, to deform the part is important. However, to
increase the stiffness of the deformed part usually is one of the major
concerns.
To increase the stiffness, it is important to everywhere in the
part undergoes certain deformation. Usually certain effective strain or
certain percentage of thickness reduction is reached.
